—————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Hello family!

We’ve just landed in Al Simhara. And I did exactly as Tomas when he traveled to Shang Simla and took loads of pictures from the airplane window. I couldn’t wait to share them with you! And that’s exactly why I’m sitting right now at the airport’s cybercafé.

Sand and palm trees

Tents

On the first two pictures you can see the hugeness of the desert as well as the sparse spike vegetation that grows here and there and actually allows life in this area. It’s very impressive, isn’t it? Now that I’m here I can safely say that we all have many, many reasons to admire the Egyptians.

We’re still in the morning and the temperature has already reached 32 Celsius degrees. Could any of you imagine farming or building pyramids under such a hot sun? I couldn’t see myself doing it. If I was an ancient egypt girl I would probably be stuffing my face with pomegranates, plums and pistachios. I’d be sure another victim of periodontitis!

I’m eager to explore the desert and Wilson has just came back to tell me he finally got us a cab. I must thank you – specially Antonia – for the encouragement to advance my vacation. I’m hopeful it will be wonderful: in fact, I’m expecting it to be that honeymoon that I and Wilson never took.

Lots of love,
Clara.

Awwww! That’s so amazing, hopefully Clara and Wilson have a great time and work out their differences (maybe start a family, who knows?!)

Not exactly related to the post, but: I just went through the legacy rules and “Any sim may be moved into the Legacy Family via marriage or move-in except for the following: Sims created by the player, Sims/households downloaded and imported from the exchange … You are allowed to create/download/import sims and families into your Legacy neighborhood, they just cannot join the family. ”

This means I can’t marry Tomas to one of the twins 😦

I personally think it’s a silly rule..especially with the problem of the towns dying out so quickly 😡

Surprisingly, I haven’t had a problem yet with the town dying out and I play Vanilla. During the second generation there were no children, but since then I’ve had no problems and the families have been spawning (although slowly) around my legacy.
